YPO Spark Conference

/ September 19, 2014 / 0 Comments

Epic showdown today between Christy Clark and David Suzuki at the Young Presidents’ Organization Spark conference attended by our CEO Steve Curtis.

Christy Clark: The beauty of BC, we have $225 billion in resources to develop and we are heading for a new age of development prosperity in BC. David Suzuki: What we do now could very well decide whether humanity survives the next hundred years. We are undermining the very things that keep us alive. Canada, just this month became the largest destroyer of pristine forest in the world…. Is the earth our mother or simply a mother load?

How do you weight in? Is our earth our mother or the mother load? Harvest our beauty or preserve it? Economy and steady growth or stand for the survival of our species?

Steve Curtis + David Suzuki

#GivingTuesday marks the start of ZAG's annual giving tradition. Our collective efforts begin at our lobby, this giant donation box will be filled with food and holiday gifts to support local and worldwide charities through our partner led and driven Heartbeats Initiative.

As we celebrate and grow our impact each year, we share stories such as Heartbeats' anniversary on our blog to inspire others: bit.ly/1QSdrOp

#ThrowbackThursday. We all had doubts and good reasons to not run Vancouver's Half Marathon but we all showed up; by doing so we honoured our commitment to each other. Supporting and celebrating from the first kilometre to the last. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle in the midst of a rapidly growing business is key to balance, and we lean on each other to hold us accountable to show up everyday at 100%.

Excellence is a daily practice. We support our team by cultivating opportunities for meaningful change. Like the saying goes, "How you do anything - is how you do everything." The next challenge is #biketoworkweek... Who's with us? #ZagRocks #YVRchallenge
